Third Sister’s Lightsaber: A Deadly Weapon of the Inquisitorius

Things changed when Darth Sidious executed Order 66 in the galaxy far, far away. The Force-sensitive beings were captured, and the Empire made them Jedi hunters, referred to as Inquisitors. They got training under Darth Vader and wielded fearsome lightsabers. Reva Sevander, the third sister, also used a famous Inquisitor weapon. The Empire designed it for combat and psychological warfare. This blog explores how the third sister’s lightsaber became a symbol of brutality, ambition, and inner conflict.

The Construction and Design 

Unlike Jedi and Sith, Inquisitors received pre-built lightsabers. Reva’s lightsaber was a standard Inquisitor model, but it showed the chaos she brought. It was red and could split into two single blades. In addition, the spinning hilt of her saber created a deadly shield against the opponents.

Like other Inquisitors, Reva’s lightsaber prioritized strength and speed. It was made of lightweight, strong metals, helping her excel in fast-paced battles. The saber had several ignition settings. Reva could switch between single-blade, dual-blade, or spinning mode. This flexibility helped her adapt to different combat situations. 

Symbolism and Significance 

Reva Sevander was an aggressive and unpredictable fighter. Her lightsaber was specially made for hunting and defeating Jedi. She used her saber for constant attacks, deception, and intimidation. Reva used her lightsaber as a combat tool to dominate her enemies psychologically. She often pretended to attack, deceiving her foes and striking at unexpected times. Her fighting style mixed speed, strength, and trickery, making her one of the most fearsome members of the Inquisitorius.

Combat Style

Reva used her blades in Jar’Kai. This combat style focused on quick and unpredictable strikes with two weapons. Reva fought differently from the Jedi. Jedi valued patience, but she moved forward with full energy. She attacked her opponents with fast slashes and aggressive footwork. 

Famous Battles With the Deadly Weapon 

The third sister used her red lightsaber multiple times in her Jedi hunting missions. Some of the remarkable moments when she utilized her weapon are mentioned below: 

• Reva used her saber to kill Nari in public. This act revealed the Inquisitorius' brutality and aggression. She hunted Kenobi through the city, using her speed and strength to outsmart him in a rooftop chase.

• When the Grand Inquisitor claimed credit for capturing Kenobi, Reva turned on him. She stabbed him with her lightsaber and took charge of the mission.

• She fought fiercely against Jedi sympathizers, using her lightsaber to deflect blaster fire while trying to prevent Kenobi’s escape.

• In her final act of betrayal, Reva tried to kill Darth Vader from behind. She swung her double-bladed weapon in a frantic and desperate attack. However, Vader easily dodged and disarmed her. He snapped her saber in two and stabbed her with it. She was left humiliated and defeated.

• Reva attacked the Lars homestead, using her lightsaber to cut through their defenses while searching for Luke Skywalker.

The Legacy 

The Third Sister’s lightsaber was more than a weapon. It reflected her journey. It played a crucial role in her change from a ruthless Jedi hunter to a redeemed survivor. It started as a tool of fear and oppression but became a symbol of her liberation.

Most Inquisitors die in battle, clinging to their lightsabers. But Reva chose to leave hers behind. This decision showed she had broken free from the Empire's control. Reva’s lightsaber wasn’t destroyed, so it might still be somewhere in the galaxy.
