Anakin Solo was born to Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo. As he was named after his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker, he carried the weight of his lineage since his childhood. He was part of the new Jedi generation and sought early training to affirm his beliefs in the light side of the Force. Anakin possessed admirable abilities in terms of the Force. He could utilize the force with maximum results to work in his favor. His abilities, like Force push, Force pull, and Force crush, helped him succeed on the battlefield.
Moreover, Anakin mastered the art of Force sense and battle meditation to study his opponents' emotions and plans to devise a counter strategy. His telepathic mind was an added luxury, helping communicate with fellow Jedi in long-distance instances.
All these abilities and excellent lightsaber dueling skills made him a formidable warrior. He possessed a violet-bladed lightsaber. His fighting style was quick, ruthless, and accurate. Since his early days in combat training, he learned Form V of lightsaber combat.
Anakin Solo’s Lightsaber
Initially, Anakin Solo used Obi-Wan Kenobi’s single-bladed lightsaber. The blue-bladed lightsaber was with the new Jedi Order for quite some time. It was initially retrieved from Orloc by a special group which included the participation of Anakin Solo.
During the Yuuzhan Vong War, Anakin added a lambent crystal to its base. It resulted in a single-bladed violet lightsaber, personalized to match its wielder’s preference. This modification was an immense help to Anakin. He was able to use “Vongsense,” aided by his telepathy skill, to detect Yuuzhan beings.
The violet blade’s meaning complemented Anakin Solo’s character and raw Force power. It represented balance, a highly accomplished skillset in Force and Combat, and the willingness to pursue a unique journey. The lightsaber assisted him in numerous battles, till his death in the Myrkr mission.

Prior to his fall, Anakin learned about the Voxyn Queen, a bioengineered creature that was designed to hunt Jedi.
After hearing about the death of Lusa, a close colleague of his, by the same creature, Anakin decided to intervene. Therefore, he assembled a strike team which included his sibling Jacen Solo and Jiana Solo and his close friends, Tahiri and Raynar, to put an end to the threat.
He managed to infiltrate the Voxyn Cloning facility and fought valiantly against the countering Yuuzhan forces. However, in protecting his fellow warriors and siblings, Anakin was finally defeated.
Both his body and lightsaber were taken captive by Nom Amor. He was one of the fiercest Yuuzhan Vong warriors, who praised Anakin Solo for his courage and heroic efforts to save his loved ones on the battlefield.
The Journey of Anakin Solo’s Lightsaber After His Death
After his death, Anakin Solo’s lightsaber was given to Jacen Solo as a gift. While fighting his opponents, Jacen was forced to retreat but was ultimately saved by the arrival of Garren Rhysode.
Garren Rhysode was one of the frontline Jedi warriors in the Yuuzhan Vong War. His timely arrival and heroics to save Jacen Solo resulted in many Yuuzhan deaths. He perfectly utilized Anakin’s lightsaber, showing its power and his combat skills.
Unfortunately, much to Jacen’s dismay, Garren lost his life and also Anakin’s violet lightsaber. The lightsaber then again fell into the hands of Nom Amor, who passed it on to Shimrra Jamaane.
As fate would decide, Anakin Solo’s lightsaber was finally retrieved by Luke Skywalker, who won it ending the Yuuzhan Vong conflict once and for all.
