The Mandalorian and Grogu Cast: Full List of Confirmed Characters

What Lucasfilm has assembled for this film is not just a cast list. It is a letter to every Star Wars fan who ever stayed up past midnight rewatching the moment Din Djarin first picked up that little green creature and decided, against every bounty hunter instinct in his body, to keep him. That moment changed television. And now, on May 22, 2026, it steps into theaters, bigger than it has ever been.

I need you to understand something before we go through every confirmed name on this roster. The Mandalorian and Grogu cast is not a random collection of famous faces. Every single person on this list is there for a reason. Jon Favreau does not waste seats at the table. So when you read through these characters, think about what each one means to the galaxy far, far away. Think about the history behind the name. Think about what their presence signals for where this story is going. Let us start from the top.

Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin / The Mandalorian

You know this name already. It's not an overstatement to say that the Pedro Pascal Mandalorian is one of the most famous character pairings in modern sci-fi. Pedro Pascal brings Din Djarin back to the screen in full, which is more important than it sounds. Because of Pascal's schedule, actors Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder, who played body doubles, spent a lot of time in the Beskar armor during the Disney+ series. In Season 3, both were even praised along with Pascal. This movie is different, though. Pascal is there in person and in voice for the character's most important chapter so far.

Din Djarin has also changed. He is not the quiet, lone bounty hunter who is floating through the Outer Rim with a stolen Mandalorian child in a floating pram. Djarin now has a home on Nevarro after the events of Season 3. He has a goal. He is not against the New Republic; he works with it. Favreau calls him and Grogu the Clan of Two. They have a roof over their heads and a reason to fight. Pascal has said in public that this movie gave his character the chance to use his skills as a bounty hunter to do the right thing. You should be excited by that sentence alone.

The helmet is another thing to think about. Djarin's secret group, the Children of the Watch, says he can't take off his helmet in front of other people. He broke that rule for Grogu. That sacrifice echoes the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker, another father whose love for his child ultimately cost him everything — and then saved him.  He did penance in the Living Waters of Mandalore. The trailer shows that the helmet comes off again in this movie, which means that the galaxy will see Din Djarin's face, and the story has to explain why. Pedro Pascal's face is fully on screen, which gives this movie a weight that the series didn't often have.

Grogu

Without Grogu, there is no "Mandalorian and Grogu." The small creature with big ears and a huge heart that can feel things comes back, and his story is the most important part of this movie. In The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu chose the Mandalorian way when he left Jedi training with Luke Skywalker. He picked Din Djarin. The movie picks up with him still being Force-sensitive and able to use Jedi powers, but he is now following the path of a Mandalorian apprentice. In the trailers, he wears new pieces of Beskar armor. One of the most talked-about questions in the fandom right now is whether or not he will get a full suit before the credits roll.Fans who want to celebrate Grogu's Beskar arc in their own collection will find Neopixel lightsabers at Neo Sabers that pair beautifully with Mandalorian-themed cosplay

What makes Grogu's return so powerful is what it means for the Mandalorian cast as a whole. He is the reason every other character in this film exists in the same story. Without him, there is no Clan of Two. Without him, Din Djarin is just another wanderer with a pulse rifle.

Sigourney Weaver as Colonel Ward

This news about the casting hit like a turbolaser. Sigourney Weaver, one of the most respected actors in science fiction history, plays Colonel Ward, a New Republic officer who fought in the Galactic Civil War. In 2025, Jon Favreau confirmed the name of her character at Star Wars Celebration Japan. She is the one who tells Din Djarin and Grogu what to do. She is the connection between the scrappy bounty hunter and the New Republic's growing strength. The trailer shows a scene that made people laugh before the movie even started, so it seems like she knows how to stop Grogu from snacking.

Weaver adds credibility to the New Republic side of this story that the franchise has been lacking. The Republic in the sequel trilogy didn't seem strong. Based on everything we've seen, Colonel Ward seems like someone who worked hard to get her rank.

Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt (Voice)

People were really shocked by this one. Jeremy Allen White, who won an Emmy for his work on The Bear, is now in Star Wars as the voice of Rotta the Hutt. You may have seen Rotta in the 2008 animated movie Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Ahsoka Tano called him "Stinky" because he was a small, sick Huttling. He was just a baby. He couldn't do anything. Since then, a lot of time has passed in the story, and Rotta is now a grown Hutt who, according to confirmed plot details, likes to fight in the ring. He has a lot of muscles, and he is scary.

The main goal of the movie is for Din Djarin and Grogu to rescue Rotta from wherever he is being held in exchange for information the Hutt cartel has on a New Republic target. Rotta is not a character in the background. Rotta is the mission. One of the most interesting things about the whole project is White's voice work, which gives a giant slug-like creature warmth and depth.

Steve Blum as Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios (Voice)

You know Zeb if you watched Star Wars Rebels alongside characters like Ezra Bridger . Steve Blum voiced the big, purple Lasat warrior for all four seasons of that show. When Zeb showed up in live-action at the end of The Mandalorian Season 3, fans went wild. Steve Blum is back in the recording booth for this movie, and he plays him again. Zeb works for the New Republic in a job alongside characters like Carson Teva. His presence means that this movie isn't just about Mandalorians. The story is about the new order that the galaxy is trying to build and the people, different species, and backgrounds that are coming together to keep it safe. Grogu's return to the big screen alongside a character like Zeb is one of those choices that rewards longtime fans without confusing new ones.

Dave Filoni as Trapper Wolf and Embo (Voice)

Dave Filoni directing the second unit and co-writing the script is already enough to earn a standing ovation. But Filoni also appears on screen. He returns as Trapper Wolf, the New Republic X-Wing pilot he first played in The Mandalorian series. And he also voices Embo, the Kyuzo bounty hunter from The Clone Wars. Embo is one of the most visually striking characters in all of animated Star Wars. He wears a broad-brimmed hat that he uses as a weapon. He barely talks. He is terrifying and extremely cool, and Filoni sliding into that voice role is a gift from someone who helped create that character in the first place.

Martin Scorsese as Hugo (Voice)

Read that name again. Martin Scorsese. The person who directed Goodfellas, The Departed, and Killers of the Flower Moon is in a Star Wars movie. He is the voice of Hugo, a shopkeeper from Arden. The Ardennians are an alien race with four arms. Rio Durant played one of them in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Scorsese's voice acting role is small, but having a filmmaker of his level in this world shows how seriously Favreau takes the work that goes into this project. The trailer that came out in February 2026 confirmed it, and the internet reacted as expected.

Jonny Coyne as Lord Janu (Imperial Warlord)

Jonny Coyne is back as Janu, who was an Imperial Warlord in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. In late December 2024, it was confirmed that he would be back. Janu is in charge of a group of Imperial Remnant forces, and his role in this movie is directly related to Djarin's mission with the New Republic. After Palpatine's death, the Imperial Remnant broke up, but they didn't go away. Warlords like Janu fill that gap, and Din Djarin has made it his job to fight back against them.

Hemky Madera as an Imperial Warlord

Hemky Madera is another Imperial Warlord, along with Coyne. The Remnant in this movie seems to work through more than one power structure instead of just one central command. So, the Remnant makes the threat feel real and layered. It is not going to be Moff Gideon's clean, single threat. In a galaxy where old power won't die quietly, this is how things really are: messy and dangerous.

Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Carson Teva.

Carson Teva is one of the best supporting characters the show has slowly built up over time. Paul Sun-Hyung Lee first appeared in Season 2 as an X-Wing pilot who knew right away that Din Djarin and Grogu were doing something the New Republic needed but couldn't officially say so. His return here, now in a more established role, gives the film an emotional connection to the series. Teva has always been the best example of what the New Republic could be: a person who does the right thing even when the rules say they shouldn't.

Matthew Willig as Hogsbreth

Hogsbreth is a newer addition to the Mandalorian universe. Matthew Willig, a former NFL offensive tackle turned actor, steps into a role whose full nature is still being kept under wraps. What we know is that Willig brings physical presence that fits the world of bounty hunters and mercenaries the film moves through. He has appeared in multiple productions before, but this is his biggest stage yet.

Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder as The Mandalorian (Body Doubles)

These two deserve a mention because most people do not know their names, even though they were the physical performance of the Mandalorian for large portions of the series. Brendan Wayne is the grandson of John Wayne. Lateef Crowder is a martial artist and stuntman whose physicality helped define the way Mando performs moves. While this film gives Pascal more direct presence in the suit, Wayne and Crowder remain part of the team. Their work shaped the Mandalorian cast from the very first episode.

Returning Characters and Species

The Mandalorian and Grogu cast also includes characters that longtime fans will recognize right away. The Hutt Twins, Brother Hutt and Sister Hutt, who were in The Book of Boba Fett, are back in this movie. The Hutt Cartel story comes into focus because of their connection to Rotta. The Anzellans, tiny alien mechanics who were very good at what they did, came back in The Rise of Skywalker and later in The Mandalorian series. There are also reports that Babu Frik, the beloved Anzellan who helped heroes in The Rise of Skywalker, will be there.

And then there is Embo himself, fully confirmed through the February 2026 trailer. The Kyuzo bounty hunter moves to live-action for the first time, bringing with him the wild, memorable energy that made him a fan favorite across years of Clone Wars episodes.

Who Is Not Returning

Honesty is important here. Rosario Dawson plays Ahsoka Tano in the series and now has her own show, but she is not in this movie. Ming-Na Wen's character, Fennec Shand, is not there. Giancarlo Esposito's cold and calculating villain, Moff Gideon, does not come back. It is not clear who the Armorer, Emily Swallow's mysterious keeper of the Mandalorian creed, is. Carl Weathers, who played Greef Karga and made him so charming for three seasons, died in 2024. His death is a real and permanent loss for the world.

Favreau said that the story he wrote for this movie works for people who have never seen the series, which means he was careful not to put too much history on the screen. Most of the characters come back because they fit this story, not because they have to.

Why This Cast Matters

The "Mandalorian and Grogu" is carrying a lot on its shoulders. The sequel trilogy divided fans. Several Disney+ Star Wars series left audiences frustrated. But what Pedro Pascal and Grogu built across three seasons of television had a different quality. It felt personal. It felt small in the best way, two beings in a big, dangerous galaxy, watching out for each other.

This cast is Favreau's argument that the personal story and the big cinematic one do not have to be opposites. Pedro Pascal's Mandalorian walks into this film with allies, enemies, and the weight of choices made across years of storytelling. If this film has you ready to hold something that carries that same weight, explore real lightsabers at Neo Sabers — built for fans who take the galaxy seriously. Grogu's return is not just a crowd-pleaser. It is the continuation of one of the most genuine emotional arcs the franchise has ever told. Every name on this list exists because they fit into that story. And on May 22, when the Beskar armor catches the light of a theater screen for the first time, you are going to feel it.Just as Darth Vader's lightsaber once symbolized a father lost to darkness, Din Djarin's Beskar represents a father found through choice.
