History of Darth Revan as Jedi 

Darth Revan’s narrative begins in the Old Republic Era, circa 3994 BBY (prior to the Combat of Yavin). Darth Revan was educated at the ancient Jedi Order academy during his formative years. To Jedi Master Kreia, he was a padawan. He had a single blue-bladed lightsaber with a cylindrical hilt in his hands. Revan began poking his nose into key Jedi Order affairs after acquiring the status of Jedi Knight.

He even went against Jedi teaching and married later in life, believing that good emotions make a Jedi powerful and stronger. Darth Revan was a Jedi knight, yet he operated in his own way. During the Mandalorian-Jedi war, Revan rebelled against the Jedi Order and founded the Revanchist organization.
