Darth Malgus was born with the name of Veradun in the Sith Empire. During this time, the Empire had been rebuilding the Unknown Regions for over a thousand years, following the Great Hyperspace War. Veradun belonged to a wealthy family, and from a very early age, he possessed a strong connection with the Force.

Veradun’s father sent him to the Sith Academy on Dromund Kaas, the capital of the Sith Empire, for Sith teachings. He was trained under brutal masters and learned the cruel ways to use the Force against enemies. Veradun excelled in lightsaber battling and Sith techniques in a very short time. The first task that demonstrated his cruelty was when he killed a Twi'lek servant in his household. It defined his role and destiny in the darkness.

Lightsaber and Combat Style

Darth Malgus Lightsaber

Darth Malgus wielded a single red-bladed lightsaber. It represented his Sith identity, along with the hatred and aggression in his personality. His lightsaber was larger and heavier than most of the Sith's. His weapon was his reflection, allowing him to strike powerfully and full of his raw strength. Malgus relied on the Djem So (Form V) combat style, focusing on relentless offense and strong clashes with the opponents.

Rise of Darth Malgus

Veradun became one of the best Sith warriors. His combat style was aggressive and brutal. Many Sith believed in using deception against their enemies, but Veradun utilized confrontation and aggressive approaches. After proving himself in many battles, Veradun adopted the Sith title of Darth Malgus. He used raw power and formed a close bond with Eleena Daru. Sith believed a relationship and attachment led them towards inner conflicts. However, Veradun did not consider her a weakness but a loyal ally.

The Great Galactic War and Battle of Korriban

The Sith Empire had secretly grown in the Unknown Regions for centuries. When the time was right, it launched a massive invasion of the Galactic Republic. This sparked the Great Galactic War. Malgus was among the first Sith warriors to strike. He led an assault on Korriban, which was then under Jedi control. Malgus and his forces crushed the Republic troops, reclaiming the Sith homeworld. During this battle, Malgus killed his first Jedi Knight. This victory sparked his desire for more battles. It also started his reputation as a Jedi killer.

The Sacking of Coruscant

One of the most remarkable and devastating attacks in the life of Darth Malgus included the Sacking of Coruscant. It was the moment when the Sith attacked the Republic's capital by surprise. They overwhelmed the Jedi Temple and the Republic's defenses. Malgus led the Sith forces. He stormed the Jedi Temple, cutting down Jedi and Republic soldiers.

During this battle, Malgus wielded his lightsaber against Jedi, including Jedi Master Ven Zallow. They fought fiercely, representing their inner strengths. However, Malgus was very strong and overpowered the Jedi and killed Zallow. The Sith bombed the city during this mission. The Jedi Temple was left in flames, and thousands of civilians were dead. After ruining everything, Malgus felt satisfied with this success.

However, instead of destroying the Republic, the Sith Dark Council agreed to a peace treaty—the Treaty of Coruscant. Malgus considered it a betrayal and cowardice. It led his disillusionment with the Sith Code to grow stronger because he wanted to crush the Republic.

The Cold War and Malgus' Rebellion

After the Treaty of Coruscant, the galaxy entered a period known as the Cold War. The Republic and the Sith Empire were in a state of tension. During this time, Malgus became more and more disillusioned with Sith leadership. He believed the Dark Council was weak, corrupt, and too political. They focused too much on politics, not on conquest.

At the same time, his relationship with Eleena Daru caused him internal conflict. The Sith saw his love for her as a weakness, and deep down, Malgus began to believe it as well. In a cold, ruthless decision, Malgus killed Eleena with his own hands. He believed that love made him weaker. Though this act strengthened his connection to the dark side, it left him empty. Malgus's resentment towards the Sith grew stronger, and he began to plot their overthrow. His goal was to create a new, stronger Empire.

The Final Battle And Defeat

Malgus' hatred for the Dark Council reached its peak when he declared himself the ruler of a new Sith Empire. He gathered rogue Sith, Imperial defectors, and alien warriors to his cause. His goal was to destroy both the Republic and the Sith Empire. He envisioned a new order built on pure strength. However, his rebellion was short-lived. The Republic and Sith forces saw him as a threat. They launched an attack on his secret base on Ilum. In his final battle, Malgus fought against Jedi and Sith alike, proving his immense power. However, despite his strength and mastery of the dark side, he faced defeat in the end.

Legacy of Darth Malgus

Although the fate of Maglus remains uncertain, his tale has become a legend. The Sith Empire declared him dead, but there are numerous rumors about the character. Some predict he is alive, hidden, and planning to reappear at the right time. Some assume that Sith has taken him into custody, fearing he is too dangerous to be unchained even in defeat.

Regardless of his true fate, his life was defined by war, betrayal, and ambition. Malgus would remain one of the most dangerous Sith in history. Whether dead or hiding, his legacy endured and influenced Sith Lords for centuries. He left a lesson for Sith generations to challenge the old ways and seek a stronger path forward.
