Pong Krell’s choice of dual double-bladed lightsabers was rare. They were made of metal and were larger than regular sabers. They had one blade on each side of the hilt, which was uncommon among the Jedi Order members. When activated, one lightsaber emitted blue two blades, and the other emitted two green blades. The lightsabers had a hinge in the middle that allowed Krell to fold them in half for storage. They could still be activated while folded.

The Battle of Umbara remained the most infamous in Pong Krell’s life. In this battle, he was appointed as the temporary commander of the 501st Legion. Krell used his sabers to lead devastating charges against the enemy. He did frontal attacks and followed rigid strategies, which ultimately resulted in disturbing his relationship with clones. 

• Final Confrontation with the 501st Legion

Pong Krell’s lightsaber also played a major role when he was surrounded by the clones in his final encounter with the 501st Legion. It was an impressive display of his saber skills and combat abilities. He single-handedly dealt with many clones. However, his overconfidence led to his eventual fall, and he was defeated.
