It’s no secret that The Mandalorian is a fan favourite within the new Star Wars canon. The Mandalorian will make its return to Disney plus for a third season after being off the streaming service for the past two years.

Since its premiere in 2019, The Mandalorian has distinguished itself as the Disney+ programme that best exemplifies the streaming service. It demonstrated what a show on the Disney streaming platform could be like with unique episode durations, a mainly faceless hero, and the unforeseen cultural influence of Grogu.

Bo-Katan would only consent to the expedition on the condition that Mando will fight with her to reclaim Mandalore and that he will give her permission to seize Gideon’s spacecraft and Darksaber. As long as Grogu is not in danger, Mando does not care.

Din Djarin and his group begin an assault on Gideon’s ship, prevailing over the Imperial soldiers that stand in their path along the way. During this time, Mando makes a beeline towards Grogu, who is now being confronted by Gideon with the Darksaber.

Mando gives Gideon a good kick in the rump and releases Grogu, however the gorgeous green infant is scooped up by a man named Luke Skywalker, who responded to the Child’s plea from Tython. After a tearful farewell between Mando and his child, Grogu boards the ship along Luke, though not before Mando with his son take off their helmets.

What Will Really Happen In Season 3 Of The Mandalorian?

Given that the conclusion of Season 2 wrapped up a significant amount of unresolved plot threads, it is quite difficult to speculate at this point in time. It’s likely that now that he is no longer responsible for Baby Yoda, Mando will go back to his old career as a bounty hunter and get back in touch with his old friend Greef Karga.

During the D23 Expo 2022, Lucasfilm Studio unveiled the first trailer for the Third season of “The Mandalorian.” The trailer gives the clearest picture possible of what the show’s third season has in store for us to look forward to.

Not only does the teaser showcase a large number of Mandalorians, but it also takes viewers back to the remains of Mandalore. The foreboding political intrigue and the possibility of civil war in the third season, along with Din Djarin’s mission to regain his dignity, as well as lots of action, gives the impression that this will be the most dramatic season of the programme to date.

The third season of The Mandalorian will feature further appearances by Grogu. It’s established that Grogu looks up to Din Djardin like a father figure. After he took off his helmet, people began calling him a “Mandalorian no more.”

Once the impending spinoff series was revealed in the after-credits scenes of The Mandalorian Season 2 finale, a lot of fans started wondering if The Book of Boba Fett will end up becoming The Mandalorian’s third season. But, the fact that they are back together does not always indicate that they are in a more secure position. Dangerous forces are still interested in cloning The Child for their own malicious objectives, and they want The Child.

As the Mandalorian and Grogu pursue their trip together, they will run with familiar friends and acquaintances along the way, as well as encounter completely new adversaries.

What To Expect From Mandalorian Season 3?

There is a possibility that Din Djarin will accompany Bo-Katan Kryze on her journey to regain Mandalore. It would be fascinating to learn, considering that the programme has never revealed any specifics about his Mandalorian past.

In the final three episodes of Boba Fett, the producers reconnected Mando and Grogu for a mini-arc, maybe because they realised Mando’s tale wasn’t going to have the same energy without his baby to guard.

In connection with Force users, it was unknown how Grogu managed to avoid the destruction of the Jedi Temple after the execution of Order 66 until recently. Grogu’s vision of that horrible incident was unlocked with some assistance from Luke, and a few tantalising frames from the trailers hint that we’ll explore those thoughts again in the upcoming season.

Will we eventually discover who it was that saved him? Will it be a Jedi that we are familiar with or one that we were unaware survived the massacre? It is hoped that the secrets hidden in the teeny-tiny green head will be revealed in season 3.

What’s More To Expect?

Mando is going to start his new journey as soon as Grogu is safely back in his armoured father’s arms. The promotional teaser suggests that he will travel to the ruined remnants of Mandalore, where he will be required to take a bath in the live waters that are located underneath their mines before he would be able to reunite with the Children of the Watch.

Our familiarity with Mandalore from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels suggests that the troubled past of the planet will have an impact on its first live-action outing. Several Mandalorians, including both Watch and Bo-Night Katan’s Owls personnel, are expected to show up.

The two groups have a history of conflict with one another, to put it kindly; hence, it is unknown whether or not they will engage in combat with one another. The fact that Bo-Katan and Mando appear to be engaged in combat in the council chamber of Mandalore’s Sundari Imperial Palace, on the other hand, suggests that all is not well with the peacekeeping efforts. It won’t be until Bo-Katan achieves what she desires, though, so don’t count on it. So, what exactly does she need?

Bo-Katan Is Demanding The Return Of Her Lightsaber 

The Duchess Satine Kryze, Bo Katan’s sister also served as a prior ruler of Mandalore at one point in the past. Bo-Katan has not coped well with the loss of her home planet, and she holds the spirit Children of the Watch responsible for dividing the citizens of Mandalore and paving the way for the planet to be wiped out by the Empire.

Having Watch member Mando in custody of the Darksaber is obviously problematic.

Tarre Vizsla, a former single leader of Mandalore and a member of the Jedi Clan Vizsla, forged the Darksaber long ago. Mando is now the rightful owner of the Darksaber, making him the genuine leader of Mandalore, despite his disinterest in the role. Nevertheless, Bo-Katan is aware of this fact, and she is under the impression that she must wield the sabre in order to bring the Mandalorians back together. The difficulty is that it can only be gained in genuine fight, and Moff Gideon utilised that edict to create discord between Mando & Bo-Katan at the close of season 2.

Although Mando appears to have a firm grip on the Darksaber in the promotional images for season 3, it is fairly obvious that the brilliant black sword will play some role in whatever transpires during the upcoming season.

Who Will Be Starring In The Mandalorian?

Amazingly, not one of the key players ended up dying. It’s good to know that the vast majority of the cast will be returning for Season 3 of The Mandalorian.

During the third season of The Mandalorian, Pedro Pascal will reprise his role as Din Djarin. Because of his status as an “adopted” Mandalorian, he senses a unique bond with Grogu. 

Carl Weathers will be back for season three in his role as Greef Karga. Greef Karga is a pivotal figure in the drama who has played both positive and negative roles, and who originally provides Din with the crucial clue that sends him on his journey.

Moreover, Season 3 will see the return of several familiar faces, including Emily Swallow (the Armorer),Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), Omid Abtahi (Dr. Pershing) and Amy Sedaris (Peli Motto). Other familiar figures that will be seen in season 3 include Babu Frik, the Kowakian monkey-lizards that are similar to Salacious B. Crumb, and the always amusing Amy Sedaris in the role of Peli Motto. Peli Motto was an important figure in the reuniting of Mando and Grogu.

Although several fan favourites will be back for Season 3 of The Mandalorian, admirers of Gina Carano’s Cara Dune may rest assured that she will not be making an appearance. Actress fired in 2021 over a social media rant. 

Giancarlo Esposito, has confirmed that Moff Gideon will have a larger part in the upcoming third season. The great Christopher Lloyd will reportedly also be appearing on the show, though his role has not been detailed yet. In addition, Tim Meadows may make an appearance. Last but not least, after making his long-awaited appearance in the Season 2 finale, we can only presume Luke Skywalker will return at some point.

When Will The Mandalorian Season 3 Be Released?

On March 1, 2023, Disney+ will premiere the third season of The Mandalorian. Even though Lucasfilm has previously promised a February comeback, the programme won’t air until March 1.
